Renew Replenishing Moisturizer

A copper and amino acid complex in an olive-derived emulsion, calm enough for morning and night.

$38.00 / 1.7 fl oz / 50 ml
Most moisturizers pick one thing to be good at. This one is built in three layers, and the layers do different jobs.
The active is a copper and amino acid complex — methylglucoside phosphate paired with copper lysinate and prolinate. It carries a glucose analog the cell can burn for energy, the mineral that collagen cross-linking depends on, and lysine and proline: the two amino acids collagen is literally built from. The base is an olive-derived emulsion that forms the same lamellar structure as the lipid layers of your own barrier. The botanicals were chosen for calm rather than for the label.
No fragrance, no essential oils, and no peptides. We would rather name what is actually in it.

The Evidence

What the research measured.

Three separate things have to be true for a moisturizer like this to work: the active has to be usable, the base has to behave like skin, and the whole thing has to be tolerable enough to actually use. Here is what stands behind each.
0

Daily, tolerated

What this measured

Formulated for twice-daily use from the first application. No introduction period, no photosensitivity precautions, no buffering.

Fragrance-free

Genuinely

What this measured

No fragrance and no essential oils either. Formulated for skin that reacts to both.

Olive-derived

Emulsion base2

What this measured

Sorbitan and cetearyl olivate form liquid crystals arranged much like the lipid lamellae of the stratum corneum, so the base integrates into the barrier rather than sitting on it.

Mechanism

How it works, at the level that matters.

Energy first. Methylglucoside phosphate is an analog of glucose-6-phosphate, an early intermediate in the pathway cells use to make ATP. Aged fibroblasts are metabolically slower than young ones, and synthesis of structural protein is expensive work.
Then the materials. Lysine and proline are not incidental amino acids here — they are the residues that define collagen's repeating structure, and hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine are what make its triple helix stable. Supplying them alongside the copper is the point of the pairing.
Then the cross-link. Copper is a required cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that bonds collagen and elastin into load-bearing fibers. Without functional lysyl oxidase, newly made collagen never gains tensile strength — it is protein without architecture.
The base is doing structural work too. Sorbitan olivate and cetearyl olivate form liquid crystals whose arrangement closely resembles the lipid lamellae of the stratum corneum, so the emulsion integrates into the barrier rather than sitting on it.
And the botanical fraction — cranberry, eclipta, moringa, neem, aloe, witch hazel, totarol and lilac leaf cell culture — is there for antioxidant cover and for calm. An active you cannot tolerate is an active you do not use.

The Formulation Story

Why we made
this one.

This product could have been called a copper peptide moisturizer. Most of the market would have called it that. We looked at the ingredient list and decided we could not.
What is actually in it is a copper amino acid complex — copper bound to lysine and proline. That is not a peptide. Peptides are amino acids joined by peptide bonds; these are two free amino acids acting as ligands around a copper ion. The distinction is real, and the research record everyone cites for copper peptides belongs to a different molecule.
So we named it for what it does instead. The complex supplies three things at once: a sugar phosphate the cell can burn for energy, the mineral collagen cross-linking depends on, and the two amino acids collagen is built from. The base is an olive-derived emulsion that forms the same lamellar arrangement as your own barrier lipids. The botanicals are there for calm.
We would rather sell you something honest than something familiar.

Formulated for

Every skin type, morning or night. Particularly good for anyone who wants an active moisturizer but has found retinoids intolerable, and for barrier-compromised or reactive skin that reacts to fragrance. Pairs directly over the Aurora Vitamin C Serum in the morning.

The Formulation

Every active. Every milligram.

Every active, named. No amounts withheld. If it is in the bottle, the quantity is printed here — because a dose you cannot verify is a claim you cannot check.

1.7 fl oz / 50 ml

Copper Lysinate/ProlinateCopper amino acid complex

Copper bound to lysine and proline — the mineral that cross-links collagen, carried with the two amino acids collagen is built from.

Methylglucoside PhosphateGlucose-6-phosphate analog

A sugar phosphate the cell can route into ATP production. Paired with the copper complex to supply the energy synthesis demands.

Sorbitan & Cetearyl OlivateOlive-derived emulsifiers

Form liquid crystals arranged like the barrier's own lipid lamellae, so the base integrates rather than sits.

Cranberry & Lilac Leaf Cell CultureVaccinium macrocarpon · Syringa vulgaris

Polyphenol antioxidants; the lilac culture supplies verbascoside, studied for antioxidant and soothing activity.

Neem, Moringa & EcliptaMelia azadirachta · Moringa oleifera · Eclipta prostrata

Nutrient-dense botanical extracts with long records of traditional use on skin.

Aloe, Witch Hazel & TotarolBarbadensis · Hamamelis · Podocarpus totara

Calming and gently astringent, with totarol adding lipophilic antioxidant cover.

The Protocol

How to use it, and what to expect.

Consistency is the variable that decides outcomes. Build the habit first; the biology follows on its own schedule.

1

Morning or night, or both

A dime-sized amount to face and neck, massaged until fully absorbed. Gentle enough for twice-daily use from day one.

2

Layer over serums

This sits above water-phase actives. Over the Aurora Vitamin C Serum in the morning, over Lumina PDRN in the evening.

3

Judge it on months

Barrier comfort arrives in days. Anything structural runs on a matrix-remodelling clock, so give it a full season before you decide.

Day 1

Comfort, immediately

The olive emulsion and botanical fraction work from the first application. Skin feels calmer before anything structural has changed.

Week 2-4

Barrier and surface

Where a lamellar base earns its keep. Hydration holds longer between applications and the surface starts reflecting light more evenly.

Week 8-12

The slower work

Matrix remodelling runs on a months-long clock, not a weekly one. This is the horizon to judge it on — and we would rather say that than promise a number.

Ongoing

Compounding

Barrier support and matrix support both reward consistency far more than intensity.

Questions

Before you begin.

Because it does not contain a peptide. The active is copper lysinate/prolinate — copper bound to two free amino acids, which is a mineral complex rather than a peptide chain. Most of the category would still call it a copper peptide. We would rather name it accurately, and let the formulation argue for itself.

Different active, different tolerability. This one is a copper and amino acid complex in a calm, fragrance-free base — usable twice daily by almost anyone, including people who cannot tolerate retinoids. Ageless is built on retinol, which has a deeper evidence file but demands photosensitivity precautions and a slower introduction. Many people use this one in the morning and Ageless at night.

No. Copper complexes are vivid blue-green in concentrate but appear here at concentrations far too low to tint skin. If a product is visibly blue on your face, something is wrong with it.

Yes. There is an old claim that copper and vitamin C cancel each other out, which comes from beaker chemistry rather than from skin. Apply the vitamin C serum first, let it absorb, then this over it. If you want to be cautious, use vitamin C in the morning and this at night.

No. The olive-derived emulsion is closer to skin's own lipid profile than a traditional cream base, so it absorbs without residue. It sits comfortably under makeup.
